Greg Shiflett, 61, of Kenmore passed away June 8, 2018 after a short illness. Greg was a lifetime Kenmore resident who owned and operated Lowry Furnace Co. He was a member of Victory Lodge #649 F. & A.M. and sponsored all of the Kenmore Youth Sports. He was a loving son, husband, brother, father and grandfather.

He was preceded by his wife, Brenda; father, Jack; brother, Jack; nephew, Stephen Michael and father-in-law, Gene Love. Greg is survived by his mother, Betty; son, Eric; daughter, Nicole (Jimmy); stepdaughters, Denise (Tim) and Kellie (Kevin); brothers, Mike (Cheryl) and Rick; grandchildren, Geena Lee (Rusty), Delaney, Madisyn, Layla, Jacob, Ryan, Ava, Cole, Justin, Austin and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Arabellah and Eden; mother-in-law, Martha Love and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Saturday at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Mike Prebynski. Friends may call on Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m., where Victory Lodge #649 F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic services at 7:45 p.m. Donations, if desired may be made to Akron City Hospice and Palliative Care Services.

    Deeply saddened to hear of Greg’s passing. He was a kind, gentle, giving soul. He will be greatly missed. Prayers to all family and friends. Fly with the angels Greg.
