John Paul “JP ” Croft, 48 of Barberton passed away unexpectedly July 16, 2019. Born in Naples, Florida on July 30, 1970, John lived most of his life in the Norton/Barberton area. He was saved a few years ago as a member of Victory Chapel Church in Akron Ohio. JP was a big fan of Rev. Webb.
John was a roofing laborer, and an avid fisherman. He was a “jack of all trades, a master of none.” However he prided himself on being “Pallet Johnny.” He had a great memory and an off the wall sense of humor. At any time JP could break out into song singing, “If the ocean was whiskey and I was a duck I’d swim to the bottom and never come up.” He loved his Little Britt Bratt and Austin John with all that he had. Even thru the bad days, his very best friend was his big brother Donny. His signature goodbye to his big sister Sherri was always “KBSH6774 Babyredbird this is JP over and out.” To everyone else it was always “Ice- A-Lama-Lakem My Brother.”
Preceded in death by his parents, Donald Croft Sr and Barbara Jean Croft. He is survived by daughter Brittney Croft (Barberton), son Austin Croft (Barberton) grandson Gavin, Sister Sherri McDonald (Earl), brother Donald Croft Jr (Billie Jo), sister Tari Croft (Robert), brother Bobby Croft, sister Becky Long (Larry), Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
