Jack Long, 85 of Kenmore passed away on March 21, 2024. He graduated from Hower Vocational School and retired from Akron Standard Mold in shipping and receiving. In 1986 he became a florist, first at Flowers by Gus and ending with Savoir-Faire. He helped with the KHS band for many years. He loved traveling, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family.
Jack is preceded by his father Bob (Gertrude) Long and mother Lottie (Jim) Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Joan, daughters Pam (David) Milazzo, Becky (Rick) Smith, Gail (Phillip) Greening and Lisa (Skip) Bates, grandchildren Casey Smith, Alyssa (Brandyn) Miller and William Bates, brother Ronald William Long, brother-in-law Joe (Rita) Mako and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at the Prentice Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore Blvd. on Thursday at 11 am officiated by Father Thomas, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm.
